Contribution Rates
How much can I contribute to the Scheme?
Your ‘Basic’ contribution rate is 5% of your total earnings.
You also have the choice to pay additional contributions of up to 5% of your total earnings. These are known as ‘Optional’ contributions.
Therefore, in all you can contribute a maximum of 10% of your total earnings towards your pension.
You must also remember that all pension contributions are taken out before tax is calculated on your pay, so the more you contribute the less tax you pay.
You can change your Optional Contribution rate at any time by completing and submitting the on-line Contribution Change form. You will also need to send a printed and signed copy of the form to your HR department.
How much does the Company contribute for me?
The company matches your ‘Basic’ contributions. In other words, the Company contributes 5% of your total earnings on your behalf.
